Naomi Warmka scored 20 but GM fell to USC 71-62.  In first round girl’s 1AA playoff basketball games, 4-seed Caledonia topped 13-seed La Crescent/Hokah 88-42 with Aubrie Klug scoring 31 points including topping 2,000 for her career.  The Warriors (21-6) move on to face 5-seed Cotter/HL (16-10).  Nine-seed R-P topped 8-seed D-E 51-8.  The Trojans (18-8) move on to face 1-seed Red Wing (23-4). In Section 1A, Siri Konkel scored 20 and Kinley Soiney topped 2,000 career points as 5-seed SG/M-C topped 11-seed GM 65-44.  Gracie Foster had 25 in defeat.  The Lions (16-8) move on to face 4-seed L-A (18-9).  Hannah Vaalemoen scored 28 points as 6-seed FC topped 11-seed Kingsland 79-37. The Falcons (14-12) move on to face 3-seed Southland (22-4).  Jensyn Storhoff scored 21 points as 7-seed Lanesboro topped 10-seed AC/G-E 74-47.  The Burros (17-10) move on to face 3-seed Hayfield/SA (20-7).  Aubry Boldt scored 23 points as 8-seed Houston topped 9-seed Faribault B.A. 61-56. The Hurricanes (11-15) move on to face 1-seed NRHEG (24-3).  Aaron Stemper scored 32 points with eight threes, Grant King added 31 points, and Coby Hammell 20 rebounds, as Caledonia’s boys topped Cotter/HL 77-60.  The Warriors (11-3, 15-10) take second in the TRC-East behind R-P (12-2, 23-3).  They are 1AA’s 6-seed, will host 11-seed St. Charles (15-11).  Nick Taylor scored 25 and Conor Danielson 20 as Lanesboro beat L-O 91-51.  Dalton Bamlet scored 29 but Kingsland fell to Schaeffer 89-79.  The Knights (1-17, 1-25) are 1A’s 18-seed, play at 15-seed Rochester Math and Science (9-15).  Reid Hungerholt scored 22 but L-O felt to L/P 86-45.  The Cards (3-15, 5-21) are 1A’s 16-seed, will host 17-seed Houston (4-22) in a play-in game.   Clayton Schoepski scored 22 but FC fell to La Crescent/Hokah 75-65.  The Falcons (0-14, 4-21) are 1A’s 13-seed, will play at 4-seed Hayfield (17-9) in Round of 16.  Spring Grove (10-8, 10-16) is 1A’s 9-seed, plays at 8-seed Faribault B.A. (10-14).
