Jensyn Storhoff scored 31 and 21 points, but Lanesboro’s girls lost to Southland 58-45 and PEM 50-47. She surpassed 2,000 career points versus the Bulldogs. Storhoff is just one of six girls from the Journal-covered schools to do so, joining GM’s Jessica Benson (2,188), Jordyn Glynn (2,072), and Sloan Benson (2,051), L-O’s Haley Hungerholt (2,507) and R-P’s Brianna Koop (2,087). Gracie Foster scored 26 points including topping 1,000 for her career but GM fell to W-K 53-46. Aubrie Klug scored 37 points as Caledonia beat Decorah 80-50. The #10 in AA Warriors also lost to #5 in AA Red Wing 57-55, and to Goodhue 91-82, in a battle of last year’s 1A and 1AA champs. Klug scored 25, Nicole Banse 23 including topping 1,000 for her career, and Jessica Stendel 21 versus the Wildcats. The Warriors (11-0, 16-5) have clinched a share of the TRC-East over Cotter (10-3, 13-9). Grace Schroeder scored 24 and 29 points as Chatfield beat St. Charles 66-49 and Kingsland 74-44. Lexi Kivimagi scored 20 in a 61-55 Gopher loss to Southland. Aubry Boldt scored 21 as Houston beat GM 60-43. Maria Almaraz-Nolt scored 24 and Miranda Nagel 20 as L-O beat Riceville 56-37 for the Cardinals first win. Carson Harstad scored 25 as Chatfield’s boys beat St. Charles 67-64. Kash McBroom scored 26 and the Gophers put up a season-high in a 105-42 win over Kingsland. The Gophers (7-3, 12-7) trail L-A (7-2, 14-4) atop the SEC-West. FC’s Bridon Bahl scored 30 points in 64-62 loss to La Crescent/Hokah and then had near triple-double (31 pts, 15 rebs, 9 asts) in a win over SG 77-68. Isaac Underbakke scored 25 as M-C beat Kingsland 76-57. Collin Stuart had 20 in defeat. Keaton Gehling hit six threes and scored 26 as GM topped Houston 77-60. The Larks (7-3, 11-6) trail Southland (11-0, 16-1) in the SEC-West. Reid Hungerholt scored 29 points each as L-O topped Schaeffer 55-47 but lost to L/P 71-51. Lyric Stadtler went for 18 (pts) and 10 (asts) but SG lost to Schaeffer 71-63. Caledonia/Houston wrestling went 3-0 on the week, topping Prairie du Chien 45-33, GMLOS 44-26, and La Crescent/Hokah 65-10. Chatfield wrestling went 4-1, beating W-K 75-0, D-E 47-20, Farmington 42-23, and Albert Lea 46-21, losing to #1 in D-I Holmen by 29-23 tally. Ranked #2 in Class A, Chatfield (7-1, 12-4) is tied atop the TRC with PEM (7-1, 16-4) ahead of Cal/Hou (6-2, 10-6) and LARP (5-2, 18-4). At the Wisconsin Dells Tourney, GMLOS’ Calum Sween (162) plus girls Chloe Hubbard (100-107), Zoe Steinkamp (126-132), and Kloe Meyer (235) took first. The girls were team champions. At the Pine Island Tourney, FCLMC’s Kane Larson won 189-pounds including surpassing 200 career wins. He is the Wolves’ career leader.
