Fillmore County Journal - Fillmore County Sports

Caledonia volleyball, ranked #4 in AA, topped D-E in four sets (26-24, 21-25, 25-15, 25-12) to clinch a share of the TRC title. Avery Augedahl had 36 assists, Aubrie Klug 30 digs. Fillmore Central, ranked #4 in A, beat W-K 3-0. R-P went 3-0 in best-of-five-matches on the week, beating Houston 3-1 and Goodhue 3-0, PEM 3-0 in TRC play. Addison Drinkall had 53 total digs. Hurricane Emmie Melbo had 21 digs in a losing cause. R-P (7-2, 18-4) has greatly improved on last year’s 10-14 record. Their 16 wins in their first 20 matches is their best such span in over a decade. The #4 Warriors (9-0, 21-5) lead the #4 Falcons (8-1, 17-5), #3 in AA Chatfield (8-2, 21-7), and Trojans (7-2, 18-4) atop the TRC. Meah Stevens had 32 assists, 13 digs, and 4 aces as L-O swept Kingsland. Paisley Robinson had 20 digs in defeat. Lanesboro swept Houston (25-14, 25-11, 25-13) to avenge a 3-2 loss earlier in the season. Reid Hungerholt completed just 17 of 47 passes but for a whopping 386 yards and six TDs; L-O/L/P fell 52-46 late at Alden-Conger/G-E. The Cards started the game down 20-0, got back to even at 46-46. Hunter Wollenberg (149 yards, 2 TDs) led L-0/L/P’s receivers. Carter Glynn ran for 100 yards and accounted for two TDs but GM fell to W-K 30-14. R-P football ran for 261 yards, getting 110 yards from Jaxon Johnson, but the Trojans fell to D-E 25-6.
