Morgan Rohweder pitched a complete-game two-hit shut-out as Houston baseball beat #6 in Class A Lyle/Pacelli 1-0. Isaac Underbakke struck out 11 and got the complete game win as M-C beat SG 5-2. Landon O’Heron pitched a two-hitter as Caledonia baseball beat FC/L 9-1. Garrett Konz struck out 10 but La Crescent/Hokah had a first-inning three-run double to help beat the Warriors 3-1 in a key early season TRC-East affair. Cayden Lea singled in Connor Vaughn for the walk-off win as R-P beat Cotter/HL 7-6. Caledonia softball (2-0, 2-0) beat FC/L 18-0 in four innings and La Crescent/Hokah 5-0 with pitcher Avery Augedahl tossing all 11 innings, striking out 20 total, and collecting both wins. Adrienne Lange was 7-for-8 in the two games and Elsa Blum homered versus the Lancers. Rylee Urban struck out 12 and collected the win as Chatfield (1-0, 1-0) topped St. Charles 7-2. Tylar Wenthold struck out 12 and got the complete-game win as M-C beat SG 11-1 in six innings. Wenthold also struck out 11 in a 5-3 Cougar loss to Hayfield. Caidence Frauenkron went 4-for-4 with a home run and five RBI, Julia Swenson scored five times, and Kylie Stinson had six RBI and scored five times, as Houston (2-0, 3-1) topped L/P 28-0 in four innings. Seventh-grader Claire Sherburne walked 18, struck out 11, while also homering as Spring Grove beat GMLOK 8-5. Aspen Kolling struck out 10 in defeat. LFCMC’s girls topped RPH’s for the Tro-Canes’ girls track and field meet title. RPH’s boys took second to St. Charles. Tro-Cane Aubry Boldt won three events including breaking RPH’s Triple-Jump record (36’7 ½” over 36’3 ½”) and resetting her own Long Jump (17’11 ½” over 17’9 ½”) program mark. Jack Brogle shot a 36 in Lanesboro’s golf win over G-E. In Class A girls’ basketball, Grand Meadow’s Lauren Queensland and Lanesboro’s Jensyn Storhoff are All-State honorable mention.
