Spring Grove’s girls beat Lanesboro 72-49, L-O 61-18, and New Hampton 66-47 to run their win streak to nine. Siri Konkel had 16 (pts) and 11 (asts) versus the Burros. Taylor Elton’s Lions (7-1, 14-3) lead the SEC over Grand Meadow (7-2, 14-2). Jensyn Storhoff had 22 points in the Burros’ loss to the Lions. Jorja Meyer scored 23 as Houston topped AC/G-E 68-51. The Hurricanes (6-3, 12-5) have won three straight and seven of nine. Maddie Zwart went for 21 (pts) and 10 (rebs) as FC beat St. Charles 75-46. Amaya Harmening went for 21 (pts) and 13 (rebs), Kendall Knutson 20 points, as Chatfield topped Southland 70-60. Ben Udstuen tallied 28, 33 and 28 points as SG lost to L/P 54-51, beat L-O 68-50, but lost to Southland 68-42. Carson Harstad scored 24 and 32 points in Chatfield wins over Houston 64-47 and Dover-Eyota 75-64. Carter Geiwitz had 28 points in the loss to the Gophers. Morgan Rohweder scored 26 points (six threes) and Geiwitz added 22 as the Hurricanes beat Schaeffer 65-42. Houston (7-2, 9-5) lengthened its SEC-East lead over the Lions (7-6, 7-8). Camden and Reid Hungerholt scored 29 and 26 points, as LeRoy-Ostrander notched its nicest win, 74-68 over Kingsland. Kaaleem Reiland had 22 in defeat. The game had 65 free throws. Isaac Underbakke went for 32 (pts), 18 (rebs), and 9 (asts), as M-C topped L/P 88-68. FCLMC’s Kane Larson notched his 150th win at the PEM triangular. Chatfield wrestling beat St. Charles 71-3. The #1 Gophers (7-0, 13-2) are closing in on a TRC title. Chatfield gals wrestling took on the first ever Minnesota Girls State Duals, taking 13th of 16 (losing two matches by forfeiting their last three weights). Melody Ward (100/106), Bryn Goetzinger (112), Maizee Priebe (118), and Elle Eickhoff (155) each went 4-0, the latter three with three pins. GMLOS (12-12) wrestling went 4-2 in duals including taking third at the St. Paul Harding team tourney. Drake Payne (189) went 6-0. Caledonia/Houston (8-12) wrestling went 3-3. Aiden Burns (114/121) and Cooper Allen (189/215) went 6-0 with Allen wrestling out six wins.
