Cayden Lea scored 28 points as R-P’s #7 in Class A boys beat PEM 78-47. Cole Thompson scored 22 as R-P beat Kingsland 74-52 for their ninth win in a row. Max Erdman had 21 in defeat. The R-P win streak ended with a 78-71 loss to West leading St. Charles (5-1, 11-3). The Trojans (5-2, 10-2) trail #2 in AA Caledonia (7-0, 11-2) in the TRC East. Ben Udstuen went for 22 (pts) and 11 (rebs) as SG beat GM 60-35. Camden Hungerholt scored 34 points and Reid Hungerholt 20, but L-O fell to K-W 71-68. Carson Harstad scored 28 points, but Chatfield fell to Cotter 68-61. Lanesboro’s girls beat Kingsland 67-54 and L-O 60-48, as Jensyn Storhoff scored 29 and 21 points. Cardinal Benita Nolt scored 20 in defeat. The senior also had 20 (pts) and 17 (rebs) in a 55-44 loss to L-A. Aubry Boldt scored 27 and 20, Avery Kingsley 22 twice, as Houston beat L/P 66-37 and FC 60-55. Kyla Hellickson had 24 in defeat. Southland (6-2, 10-4), GM (5-2, 8-2), and Lanesboro (4-2, 7-5) trail SG (4-1, 8-3) in the SEC. Houston (4-3, 9-4) is in fifth place. Sophia Bronner scored 22 points, including four in the final 0:26 (the go-ahead free throws), as FC beat Chatfield 55-52. The Falcons also beat W-K 54-28. FC (4-4, 8-6) has won four of five. Torryn Schneider went for 11 (pts) and 12 (asts), as R-P’s girls beat PEM 68-56. Hailee Warren scored 20 points as Kingsland beat L/P 66-64. Lexi Kivimagi scored 20 points, but Chatfield fell to Cotter 73-66. Caledonia/Houston wrestling beat Charles City 59-9, Waukon 35-30, GMLOS 43-30, and St. Charles 58-15. Braxton Lange, Cooper Allen, and Aden Kulas each went 4-0. LARP wrestling lost its first dual, 34-31 to Albert Lea. The Screamin’ Eagles then fell at #1 Chatfield 58-9. The Gophers improved to 2-0 in the TRC, 8-2 overall. LARP fell to 3-1, 12-2. Chatfield then won the Crestwood Tourney, taking 12 of 14 weights at the five-team event; Jameson Priebe (106), Logan Pearson (113), Kaisen Johnson (126), Layne Root (132), Hunter Polikowsky (138), Alden Pearson (144), Carson Rowland (157), Ayden Miner (165), Ben Carrier (175), Sean Kirchner (190), Will Boelter (215), and Cole Ramaker (285). LARP won the PEM tourney. Owen Lange (127), Zach Plank (189), and Christian Zibrowski (121) took first. FCLMC’s Kane Larson (172) also took first. At the Stewartville girls’ tourney, GMLOS’ Brandy Christenson (112) and Paisley Schlee (100), FCLMC’s Charlotte Ferrie (130), won titles. At the Eden Prairie girl’s tourney, Chatfield’s Emily Bova (110) took first.
