Max Erdman had a trio of 20-point nights and averaged 21.8 PPG and 9.8 RPG as Kingsland’s boys went 2-2 on the week, beating Lanesboro 55-38 and GM 72-50. Camden Hungerholt scored 36 points and brother Reid added 20 points as L-O beat Hayfield 70-50. Josh Haugerud scored 22 points as FC beat K-W 57-47. SG’s girls (1-0, 3-1) played two tight non-conference affairs, beating Hayfield/Schaeffer 55-53, losing to Waukon 68-67. Siri Konkel scored 22 points in the loss to the Indians. Jensyn Storhoff scored 29 points, but Lanesboro (1-1, 3-1) suffered its first loss at Southland 49-48. Grace Schroeder scored 21 points as Chatfield beat W-K 68-26. Fellow Gopher Emily Bova won the 106-pound weight class at the Hutchinson/Buffalo Lake-Hector girls wrestling tourney, doing so with four first period pins. GMLOS’ Cael Smith went 7-0 with five pins in seven Bulldog duals.
