Houston softball went 3-0, beating GMLOK 4-1, G-E/AC 13-6, and SG 8-1. Emily Botcher collected all three wins, striking out 31. Emmie Melbo had 5 RBIs versus the Wolverines. The ‘Canes (10-1, 10-6) and Southland (12-1, 14-2) top the SEC. Chatfield softball (8-6, 12-6) went 3-1. Brittin Ruskell had three doubles and 4 RBI in a 13-1 win over FC/L. Riley Urban struck out 12 and got the win in an 8-1 win over W-K. Alexis Hinckley hit her fourth home run in a 12-2 win over Lourdes. Aspen Kolling, Macy Runck, and Jacie Berken all had a 4 RBI game, as GMLOK swept Schaeffer 23-1 and 21-5. M-C’s Tylar Wenthold struck out 10 in losses to SG and Southland, then 13 in a 6-3 win over G-E/AC. Cole Ramaker gave up one hit in 6 2/3 innings and collected the win as Chatfield baseball beat W-K 7-1. Westin Nolte hit a home run as the Gophers beat Lourdes 8-6. PEM (6-5, 7-7), Chatfield (7-6, 8-9), and D-E (5-5, 9-6) top the TRC-West. M-C played an eight-game week (going 4-4)! Isaac Underbakke, Tyler Larson, and Nolan Garness combined for a five-inning no hitter in a 12-0 win over Schaeffer. The Cougars scored two in the bottom of the seventh to beat SG 4-3. Cayden Tollefsrud collected the win. Tollefsrud and Underbakke combined to no-hit G-E/AC in a 6-1 victory, as Tollefsrud struck out 16. In game two, Tyler Larson plated Underbakke via suicide squeeze for the Cougars’ second 4-3 walk-off of the week. R-P baseball overcame a 5-0 seventh inning deficit to beat D-E 8-5 in eight innings. Jonah Bunke hit a home run and drove in four runs while Rylan Schneider was 5-for-5, as R-P rallied from down 6-2 to beat Goodhue 16-6. Bunke hit .562 for the week (three 2Bs, HR, 9 RBI). GMLOK swept a doubleheader with Schaeffer 14-1 and 32-1. Caden Reiter, Parker Johnson, and Noah Mundfrom all had home runs. Nolan Nelson struck out 10 and got the win as Houston beat GEAC 13-3. Elijah Solum drove in four as SG beat L-A 12-3. Lanesboro’s Kaden Stettler (38, 37) and Jack Brogle (39, 38) each shot sub-40 in golf matches with Southland (loss) and Kingsland (win). Seventh grader Addison McCabe shot a 40 to medal in the girls’ win over the Rebels. The Lady Burros are 8-0, 8-0. Houston’s Ethan Knutson shot a 35 to medal versus G-E, then a 40 versus Southland. Chantle Reiland won four events (100, 200, Long Jump, 4×200) at the SEC track and field meet while teammate Lexy Foster won both throws including setting the GMLOKS discus record (42’4”).
