Rushford-Peterson football got started on the easier second half of the season by beating Hayfield 28-8. Jaxson Meldahl ran for 128 yards and a TD to help the Trojans (1-4, 1-4) to their first win.
Spring Grove volleyball swept matches with Houston and Schaeffer Academy.
Mabel-Canton swept Schaeffer in its only match of the week. The #2 in Class A Cougars (9-0, 25-1) lead the SEC-East over the Lions (7-1, 13-3).
Grand Meadow swept Southland to pick up its 10th win. Benita Nolt had 27 kills in just three sets, and Jenna Olson 34 assists, as L-O swept L/P. GM (7-2, 10-7) leads the SEC-West over the Cardinals (6-3, 11-7).
L-O has matched last year’s win total (11-18).
Lanesboro volleyball went 4-1 on the week including sweeping three round robin matches at the Southland Tourney (the hosts, G-E, Kingsland).
The Burros (5-3, 12-5) surpassed 10 wins. Their only loss was at Rushford-Peterson 3-0, as Trojan Torryn Schneider had 20 digs, Burro Jensyn Storhoff 22.
