Caledonia’s girls went 2-0 on the week, beating Rushford-Peterson 63-43 and Decorah 50-41. Ava Privet had 20 points versus the Trojans. Scott Sorenson’s group (4-0, 6-1) leads the TRC-East ahead of La Crescent/Hokah (3-1, 6-1). Chatfield’s girls went 2-0, beating W-K 76-41 and Cannon Falls 42-39. Shea Jech hit both ends of the one-and-one to give the Gophers a 40-39 lead in the final minute versus the Bombers, and Anna Kivimagi added two more free throws with 0:12 left. Brian Baum’s girls (4-0, 7-1) lead the TRC-West over PEM (4-1, 4-1). Ellie Ekern scored 26 points, but R-P fell to LC/H 47-44. The junior guard then scored 20 points in a 46-32 win over North Fayette. Mason King scored 23 points as Caledonia’s boys beat R-P 73-50. Grady Hengel had 24 points in defeat. Riley Tesch hit a corner three with 0:04 left to propel the Trojans over LC/H 55-54. Dawson Bunke had 25 points in the game. Bunke then hit eight threes and scored 28 points as R-P (1-1, 3-2) beat North Fayette 44-33. Reid Klug scored 21 points, but Caledonia (2-0, 2-2) fell to Decorah 80-71. Gunner Benson scored 20 points including hitting two key threes and two free throw lates as FC nipped Cotter 67-65. Will Parker had 21 (pts) and 11 (rebs) as the Falcons (1-2, 3-2) beat L-O 79-40. Parker double-doubled in all three of FC’s game. Cayden Tollefsrud scored 22 points as M-C beat GM 69-50. Drew Schindler scored 23 points as Chatfield beat St. Charles 66-45. Schindler then scored 24 points, but Chatfield fell to Cannon Falls 71-41. Camden Hungerholt scored 21 points, but L-O fell to Schaeffer 58-46.
