
Grady Hengel had 37 points (15 of 16 FGs) as R-P beat Schaeffer 80-52. Lewis Doyle had 24 (pts), 10 (rebs), and 9 (asts) as Caledonia beat FC 85-57. Mason King added 22 points on six made threes while Jayce Kiehne had 20 in defeat. Kiehne then scored 32 points as FC beat GM 84-39. Lanesboro’s boys beat L-O 80-41 and Kee 80-66 to start the year 2-0. Cardinal Camden Hungerholt had 25 points in the loss to the Burros. Hungerholt then had 27 points as L-O beat Postville 66-53 for its first win. Jace Kraft scored 22 points, but GM fell to Houston 55-46. It was the Hurricanes’ second win. They beat G-E 57-55 also. Houston had one win last year. Cayden Tollefsrud scored 28 points, but M-C fell to Osage 74-61. Sydney Cotten had 24 points by way of eight three-point makes and Lauren Queensland had 23 points, as GM’s girls (2-0, 2-0) beat Southland 68-29. Sydney Torgerson had 20 points as Houston beat L/P 72-25. Ellie Ekern had 19 (pts), 8 (rebs), and 7 (asts) as R-P beat Schaeffer 70-34. Benita Nolt had 24 (pts) and 21 (rebs) as L-O beat Postville 40-23 for the Cardinals first victory. GMLOS’ Cohen Wiste (6-0) won the 138-pound weight class at the South Winn Tourney. FCLMC wrestling went 3-1 on the week, beating Waukon 54-27, South Winn 45-34, and St. Charles 53-24. Their only loss was 42-39 in PEM. Clayton Knutson (106), Kane Larson (132 – four pins), Connor Wingert (138), and Orion Sass (160/170) wrestled out four wins while Aaron Hutton (220) and Cooper Ferrie (285) were 4-0 with forfeit wins. Caledonia/Houston’s Aiden Burns (106) and Tucker Ginther (145) each went 5-0 at the Western Dubuque Duals. Cal/Hou went 3-2.
