Caledonia’s basketball teams each went 2-0 on the week.  The boys got 20 points from Coby Hammell in topping W-K 94-55, then Grant King scored 26 points as the Warriors topped Waverly-Shell Rock 70-49 at the Decorah Border battle.  The Warriors (3-0, 5-1) and Winona-Cotter (2-0, 6-1) top the early TRC-East standings.   The girls beat Houston 65-37 and W-K 65-29.  Aubrie Klug scored 20 points versus the Hurricanes, 31 points versus the Falcons.  The Warriors’ girls (5-0, 7-1) lead the TRC-East over Cotter (3-1, 5-4).  Reid Hungerholt scored 34 points and added 13 rebounds, and Grayson Stockdale added 21 points, as LeRoy-Ostrander’s boys topped Kingsland 67-41. Lyric Stadtler scored 24 points including hitting six threes as Spring Grove topped Kingsland 67-53.  Mabel-Canton overcame a 42-33 halftime deficit to beat Lyle/Pacelli 69-67.  Kale Eiken had three key free throws late as the Cougars improved to 3-1 in the SEC, 5-1 overall.  Bridon Bahl scored 23 points and Logan Illg added 21 as Fillmore Central topped Houston 74-40.  Ross Stoehr went for 20 (pts) and 11 (rebs) as Chatfield topped Lourdes 78-61.  Played at the Target Center, Lanesboro beat Lester Praire 66-44.  The Burros improved to 1-1 in the SEC, 4-2 overall.   Jensyn Storhoff scored 26 points as Lanesboro’s girls beat GM 58-52, and 22 points in a Burro 70-61 loss to NRHEG.  Torryn Schneider went for 24 (pts), 11 (rebs), 7 (asts), and 8 (stls) while Kaia Loney added 20 as R-P’s girls beat Chatfield 73-58.  The game was tied 33-33 at halftime.  Hailee Warren scored 23 points, Macy Runck 22 as Kingsland topped L-O 63-50.   Grand Meadow led FC 21-19 at the half, but the Falcons out-scored the Larks 41-11 in the second half for a 60-32 win.   Aubry Boldt scored 21 points, but Houston fell to Pine Island 52-48.  Amaya Harmening went for 21 (pts) and 15 (rebs) but Chatfield fell to Randolph/CF 64-60.   LARP wrestling dropped its first match of the year, 35-34 to Howard Lake/Waverly-Winsted.  The Screamin’ Eagles won two duals at the Lake City triangular.  They are 2-0 in the TRC, 8-1 overall.
