Girls basketball got rolling with Rushford-Peterson and Houston starting well. The Trojans got two free throws from Alannah Skalet with 16.8 seconds left that proved the different in topping Z-M 56-54. R-P then beat John Marshall 66-39, both games at the Dover-Eyota Tourney. The Trojans (0-0, 2-0) had three and four girls in double figures in the two games. They hit 11 of 21 threes versus the Rockets. Houston got 37 points from Aubry Boldt in beating St. Charles 53-39, then 32 points from the senior in topping GM 68-42. Jorja Meyer added 23 points versus the Larks while Naomi Warmka scored 30 in defeat. Houston is 2-0.
