Caledonia’s girls basketball beat PEM 81-54 and St. Charles 72-39. Aubrie Klug scored 39 versus the Bulldogs and 29 versus the Saints. The Warriors (7-0, 10-3) lead the TRC-East over Cotter/HL (4-2, 7-7). Nadia Happel scored 28 points as R-P topped W-K 88-25. Hailee Warren scored 23 as Kingsland topped St. Charles 56-48. Avery Kingsley scored 22 as Houston topped A-C/G-E 69-48. Jensyn Storhoff went for 22 (pts) and 10 (asts) but Lanesboro fell to L-A 71-69. In three games on the week, Storhoff averaged 22.7 PPG. Sophia Bronner scored 25 but FC’s girls lost to L-A 65-58. R-P’s boys got 20 points from Cayden Lea in topping W-K 70-39, and 30 points from Will LaFleur in beating PEM 76-44. Grant King scored 21 as Caledonia topped PEM 71-60. The Warriors also fell on a last second-shot versus St. Charles 63-61. R-P (5-1, 10-2) and Caledonia (4-1, 7-4) trail Cotter/HL (4-0, 11-2) atop the TRC-East. The Trojans have won seven in a row. In a battle of top teams in the SEC-West, Southland (6-0, 10-1) beat GM (4-1, 7-4) by 86-33 final. M-C got 30 points from Isaac Underbakke but lost in double overtime to W-K 85-79. Cougar Nolan Garness then scored 20 in an 82-36 win over Coulee Christian. Lyric Stadtler scored 26 points but SG fell to L/P 69-66. Chatfield wrestling (3-1 in the TRC, 6-3 overall), ranked #2 in Class A, went 4-1, only losing to #2 in AA Stillwater 42-19. Joey Cady (#1 at 107), Gunner Polikowsky (#6 at 114), Jameson Priebe (#2 at 121), Logan Pearson (#3 at 127), Kaisen Johnson (#4 at 133), Layne Root (#10 at 139), Hunter Polikowsky (#6 at 145), and Will Boelter (#6 at 215) are ranked. At the PEM Tourney, LARP’s Christian Zibrowski (127), Michael Alexander (133), Owen Lange (139), and Chace Drazkowski (285) each took first, as did LFCMC’s Kane Larson (189). LARP gal wrestlers Payson Speltz (106) and Bobbie Wnuk (170) each notched three pins to take first at the Cannon Falls Tourney. Wnuk (170) also took first at the St. Charles Tourney. GMLOS’s Chloe Hubbard (106) and Zoe Steinkamp (130) took first at the Stewartville Tourney. Cal/SG/Hou gymnast Harper Myrah took first in the floor exercise, second in the all-around, and top three at all four events, in a meet in Kasson with K-M/Byron/Stewartville.
