Helen Joyce Fenstermacher

Helen Fenstermacher obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Helen Joyce Fenstermacher, age 84 of Champlin, Minn., passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024. 

Helen was born on June 20, 1939 to Erwin and Amanda Hintze of Spring Valley, Minn. After Helen graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1957, she attended business school in Rochester, Minn. Helen married Robert Fenstermacher on June 27, 1959, in Spring Valley and they moved to Champlin in 1965. They raised two sons, Tim and Matt, and were married for 58 years before Robert passed away in 2017. Helen worked as a bookkeeper and office manager for R & W Welding in Osseo for over 30 years. She was an active member at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka. Helen enjoyed baking, watching sports, and traveling. She loved fishing at their cabin on Bowstring Lake and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for ringing her cowbell at sporting events!

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Robert, parents Erwin and Amanda Hintze, and brother Lyle Hintze. 

She is survived by her sons, Tim (Victoria) Fenstermacher and Matt (Sara) Fenstermacher, five grandchildren: Kate (Michael) Peyton, Holand (Hannah) Fenstermacher, and Cole, Luke, and Elise Fenstermacher; two great-grandchildren, Lettie Fenstermacher and Henry Peyton,; and brother Harold (Donna) Hintze of Texas.

A graveside service will be held at the Spring Valley Cemetery on May 4, 2024, at 11 a.m., followed by a light lunch at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Spring Valley, Minn.
