Gymnastics: Kittleson Advances to State, Warriors Fourth at Sections

Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston junior Vivian Kittleson qualified for the state meet with her fourth-place finish (8.875) among 25 gymnasts on the balance beam at the Section 1A gymnastics Meet. The Warriors placed fourth among five teams with Winona High (141.375) taking the team title over Byron (140.675). Cal/SG/Hou’s top two scores came in floor exercise where Harper Myrah placed eighth with 9.25 and Kittleson 12th with 9.225 among 25 athletes. The Warriors earned their highest team score (134.25) and their best individual scores in floor exercise of the season. Kittleson is believed to be the program’s first state qualifier since Hope Stremcha in both 2009 and 2011 and Kaley Cross in 2010. Cal/SG/Hou (5-19) is coached by Savana Becker.
