Head Coach: Eric Mundfrom

Where We Left Off in 2023: The Bulldogs went 2-10 in the SEC and 3-15 overall. They fell to Dover-Eyota 9-3 in a 1AA West quarterfinal.

Seniors: Connor Tangen (3B/P), Noah Mundfrom (C/P), Courtland Drury-DeBoer (1B).

Juniors: Caden Reiter (Utility/P), Parker Johnson (SS/P), Blake Oeltjen (CF), Sam Howard (OF/C), Blake Swenson (P/IF), Ira Schmidt (1B).

Outlook: GMLOK had a tough season last year with just three wins. They graduated their only All-SEC pick in Connor Munson (P/2B > .400 average, six extra base hits, 13 R, 35 IP, 4.60 ERA). The top returnee is their second main pitcher, All-SEC HM pick Connor Tangen (.268 average, 34 1/3 IP, 2-3 record, 2.45 ERA). The Bulldogs return much intact, graduating just three seniors. Five other starters join Tangen: lead-off man Parker Johnson (.365 average, six 2B, 13 R), Sam Howard (.280 average), clean-up hitter Noah Mundfrom, plus Blake Oeltjen, and Courtland Drury-DeBoer. Caden Reiter (.321 average in 28 at bats) and Blake Swenson (.333 average in nine at bats) also saw action last year. Pitching-wise, Johnson (10 1/3 IP) joins Tangen as having tossed 10-plus innings. Hitting the ball and scoring runs is a key. GMLOK scored less than four runs in 12 of 19 games. The squad is more experienced than a year ago (nine upperclassmen versus seven) and features several Kingsland athletes who have been parts of strong football and basketball seasons. Note: one game is missing from GMLOKS’ 2023 stats.
