A young Chatfield girls basketball team won three games to move its win streak to four. First-year head coach Kyle Tollefsonās team posted TRC wins over Wabasha-Kellogg 69-38 and St. Charles 69-23 while beating Cannon Falls 77-47 in non-conference. Versus W-K, Chatfield collected 22 offensive rebounds and outscored the Falcons 23-0 in transition. Senior Evy Goldsmith (22 pts, 15 rebs) posted a big double-double. Grace Schroeder (13 pts, 8 rebs) and Brittin Ruskell (8 pts) helped. Kendall Knutson and Taylor Ask each chipped in 7 points. Versus the Saints, the Gophers led 51-18 at halftime and St. Charles scored just five second half points. Chatfield shot 47% (27 of 57) from the field and 42% from deep (8 of 19). The Gophers were again balanced. Goldsmith (12 pts, 8 rebs), G-Schroeder (12 pts), and Ask (12 pts) got to double figures. Kylin Schroeder (6 pts, 5 asts, 6 stls) and Ruskell (8 pts) helped. Hosting the Bombers on Saturday, Chatfield shot 30 of 59 (51%) from the field. Goldsmith racked up her fourth 20-plus point game (21 pts, 8-13 FGs). G-Schroeder (15 pts, 6 stls), Mya Henry (8 pts, 5 rebs), Knutson (8 pts, 5 rebs), and Lexi Kivimagi (7 pts, 5 asts) helped. Chatfield is 3-2 in the TRC and 7-2 overall.
