Three Rivers Conference Girls Basketball (1/22 – 1/25)

Chatfield 52, Rushford-Peterson 62 (R-P: E. Ekern 23 pts (5-9 threes, 6-9 FTs); Rebecca Magin 10 pts, 7 rebs; Tayler Helgemoe 9 pts, 13 rebs, 3 blks; Nadia Happel 9 pts; Cassandra Boyum 6 pts, 5 rebs, 5 asts. C: E. Goldsmith 18 pts (6-9 FGs), 5 rebs; Taylor Ask 15 pts (4-10 threes); Lexi Kivimagi 8 pts. FTs: R-P 15 of 29 (52%), C 16 of 26 (62%). R-P had 18 offensive rebounds for 17 second-chance-points, Chatfield six o-boards for eight second-chance-points. R-P led by 12 at half, 29-17)

St. Charles 21, #15 in AA Caledonia 66 (C: A. Klug 26 pts (four threes); J. Foster 10 pts. Cal led 42-6 at halftime)

#8 in AA Cotter 75, Rushford-Peterson 47 (R-P: E. Ekern 13 pts; Torryn Schneider 8 pts. The battle of winners of six-straight R-P (7-3, 14-5) and TRC-East co-leader Cotter (9-1, 15-2) saw the Ramblers jump out to a 53-23 lead at halftime. Cotter was 10 of 28 (36%) from deep, R-P 2 of 14 (14%). Trojans > 7-4, 14-6)

Lewiston-Altura 56, Chatfield 59 (C: E. Goldsmith 26 pts (10-13 FGs, 6-9 FTs), 8 rebs; Grace Schroeder 11 pts, 4 stls. Taylor Ak 8 pts. Chatfield (5-6, 10-9) trailed more oft than not in the game, but got key threes late by G-Schroeder and Ask late to help end a three-game losing streak. TOs: L-A 30, Chat 17. FGs: L-A 20 of 46 (44%), Chat 22-70 (31%))

La Crescent/Hokah 35, #15 in AA Caledonia 61 (C: J. Foster 31 pts (five threes); A. Klug 15 pts (four threes))

Southeast Conference Girls Basketball (1/22 – 1/26)

Southland 52, Grand Meadow 66 (GM: L. Foster 25 pts, 8 rebs; L. Queensland 24 pts (10-19 FGs), 10 rebs, 8 asts; Gracie Foster 13 pts, 5 rebs, 4 asts. GM built a 36-20 halftime lead, shot 51% (27 of 53) for the game. GM won the first meeting 59-56)

Houston 71, Lyle/Pacelli 47 (H: Aubry Boldt 17 pts (6-8 FTs), 4 stls; Jorja Meyer 16 pts, 9 rebs; Avery Kingsley 14 pts, 6 rebs; Ainsley Rice 9 pts, 5 rebs; Emily Botcher 7 pts, 5 rebs, 4 stls. Houston (8-1, 11-7) trails SG (11-0, 16-2) in the SEC)

Kingsland 64, LeRoy-Ostrander 38 (K: Lydia Redman 14 pts (6-8 FGs); K. Hauser 10 pts; Macy Runck 9 pts; Morgan Phillps 7 pts, 7 rebs, 6 stls; C. Reiland 6 pts, 5 rebs, 5 asts. L-O: Jenna Olson 14 pts (four threes); Miranda Nagel 13 pts, 12 rebs, 4 blks; Benita Nolt 11 pts, 10 rebs. Knights (6-3, 10-5) ended a three-game skid and got to 10 wins. L-O > 2-8, 2-15)

Non-Conference Girls Basketball (1/25 – 1/27)

Chatfield 81, Southland 55 (C: E. Goldmith 41 pts (5-5 threes, 14-17 FGs, 8-9 FT), 9 rebs, 4 asts; G. Schroeder 8 pts. Game was tight until midway through the second half. Southland had 32 turnovers. Chatfield > 5-6, 11-9)

Dover-Eyota 73, Lanesboro 37 (L: J. Storhoff 13 pts. Burros > 5-4, 8-11)

Grand Meadow 57, Lewiston-Altura 45 (GM: L. Foster 26 pts (10-15 FGs, 6-8 FTs), 8 rebs, 4 asts; L. Queensland 16 pts, 5 rebs; G. Foster 7 pts, 6 rebs, 4 asts. The Larks out-scored L-A 31-21 in the second half, expanding on a 26-24 halftime lead. GM shot 23 of 52 (44%), L-A 19 of 56 (34%))
