September 21, 2020 by Fillmore County Journal

Geneva Kidd obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Geneva LaVerna (Hamlin) Kidd, of Wykoff, Minn., died Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Spring Valley Nursing Home.

She was born to her parents, Ray and Anna (Klomps) Hamlin, from Cherry Grove, Minn., on May 2, 1922. She was married to Owen Everett Kidd on November 18, 1939, in Hammond, MN, by her Uncle Dick.

Geneva lived on a farm, and she was truly engaged in being a farmer’s wife. She enjoyed planting flowers, teaching piano lessons, playing the organ at the United Methodist Church of Wykoff, playing cards, bingo and board games, and dancing with Owen. On Sundays, she enjoyed spending time with her family members and her friends. Geneva and Owen enjoyed travelling to Texas during the winter season.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband and children Judith A. Kidd and Wayne R. Kidd.

She is survived by her daughter Joan M. Kidd (Mary Tumlin) of Wykoff, Minn.

Services for Geneva will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at 2 p.m., with a visitation one hour prior at the Wykoff United Methodist Church, in Wykoff, Minn., with Pastor David Stoeger officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, from 5-7 p.m. at the Wykoff United Methodist Church.

Due to COVID-19 regulations, social distancing will be practiced and masks must be worn.

Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family.
