Garfield "Guy" Gregerson obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Garfield “Guy” Milo Gregerson, age 87, of Spring Grove, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1938, in Roseau, Minn., to Gilmore and Alice (Gunderson) Gregerson

He was a graduate of Badger High School in Badger, Minn., and later served in the United States Army.

On July 17, 1965, he married Bonnie Doering at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Caledonia, Minn. The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 17, 2025.

Guy worked for Leath Furniture for 25 years and later drove a bus for Access Transit.

Guy enjoyed talking about country music and telling stories of years past while visiting with people, often at Kwik Trip, and spending time with his family. Being a good mechanic, he liked to tinker with small engines. He enjoyed driving his truck, collecting diecast model cars, and Lone Ranger memorabilia. He and family members enjoyed going riding on bike trails.

Guy had a special spot in his heart for special needs people and touched many hearts in the community. He will be missed.

Survivors include his wife Bonnie of Spring Grove, his children Scott (Malissa) Gregerson of Caledonia, Minn., and daughters Kim (Lincoln) Middendorf of Caledonia and Jenny Gregerson of Spring Grove, his adopted grandchildren Erica, Brayden, Jade, Sofia and Clara; his siblings Ardell (Ruth) Gregerson, Ruthie (James) Gust, Darrel (Becky) Gregerson, Marlys (Glenn) Jaenicke, Marcella (Tony) Gust, Sharon (Jerome) Henning, and Debra Gregerson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Rita (Isador) Ignaszewski, Lorraine (Robert) Hines, Elwood Gregerson in infancy, Orville Gregerson, Avis (Helmer) Naslund, Melford (Darlene) Gregerson, and Mayo (Carol) Gregerson.

Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Spring Grove.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Caledonia, Minn.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Spring Grove.

Roble Funeral Home in Spring Grove is assisting the family with arrangements.
