Frances “Paula” Norby, 84, of Lanesboro, passed away on May 26, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus in Rochester.
Frances Pauline Phillips was born May 6, 1937, in Scottsville, Ky., to Thomas and Bea Phillips. On April 7, 1960, she married Rodney D. Norby, in Scottsville, Ky. They went on to have seven children, and raised them in Lanesboro, Minn.
Paula enjoyed country music, especially Charlie Pride, walking her dog Lucky, watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins, and watching all the different birds out her back window. She loved to spoil her children and grandbabies at Christmas, but most of all see loved being around her children.
Paula is survived by her loving children: three sons, Tom, Jeff (Julie), and Scott; four daughters, Janet (Gary) Nimn, Karen (John) Lawstuen, Pat (Mark) Hanson, and Lesa (Eliot) Tienter; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and special friend Gary Littrell.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, and seven siblings.
Funeral service for Paula was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro with Pastor Kerry Eversole officiating. Visitation was one hour before the service at the church. Burial was at the Lanesboro Cemetery following the service.
