Kingsland football downed Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons 54-14 in a week three South-East match-up. The win propelled the Knights to their first 3-0 start to the season in two decades. In a battle of Knights, Kingsland had it in the bag early, leading 54-6 after three quarters. Beau Wiersma (12-245, 5 TDs rushing, 2-34 receiving) led the charge on the ground. Kaaleem Reiland (11-19, 240 yards, 2 TDs, 3 INTs passing, 8-59 rushing) hooked up with Ayden Howard (5-166, 2 TDs receiving, 38-yard run) for two passing scores. Parker Johnson (3-90, TD rushing) and Bentley Wiersma (4-41 rushing) also helped, as the Knights ran for 477 yards on 30 carries. They put up 717 yards in total offense. Reiland to Howard (90-yard pitch and catch) and Johnson (85-yard run) had long scoring plays. The Knights have now put up 158 points through three games. Kingsland (2-0, 3-0) joins L-O (2-0, 3-0) and Spring Grove (3-0, 4-0) as the unbeaten South-East teams. The Knights’ last 3-0 start is probably 2001.
