South-East Football (9/15 & 9/16)
Mabel-Canton 26, Southland 29 (M-C: C. Tollefsrud 21-100, 2 TDs rushing, 3-55, TD receiving, 86-yard KOR TD (opening kickoff); Tyler Larson 14-118 rushing; Isaac Underbakke 5-16, 67 yards, TD passing. M-C jumped to a 14-0 first quarter lead and led 20-14 at halftime. Southland scored the third quarter’s only points to head to the fourth up 21-20. On 4th and 20, Underbakke hit Tollefsrud for a 28-yard TD pass midway through the stanza to put M-C up 26-21. Southland responded by going 52 yards in six-plays, as Tysen Stevens’ 17-yard TD run (with conversion) put the Rebels back ahead 29-26. M-C then had the ball twice, but could not progress deep into Rebel territory. Southland improved to 3-1. Cougars > 0-3, 0-3)
#8 in 9-Man Edgerton 38, Grand Meadow 0 (GM: Dalton Pischke 13-81 rushing. Larks did not complete a pass. Edgerton jumped out 16-0 after one and led 24-0 at halftime. GM is 0-2, 0-3)
Mid-Southeast Football (9/15)
Rushford-Peterson 6, #7 in A Goodhue 33 (R-P: Caden Johnson 4-11, 49 yards, TD, INT passing; Jonah Bunke 16-34 rushing, 2-35 receiving; Dawson Bunke 14-yard TD reception. Goodhue led 20-0 at half and 33-0 through three quarters. They held the Trojans to 49 yards rushing on 30 attempts and 98 yards total offense. The Wildcats improved to 3-0. R-P > 0-3, 0-3)
Southeast-White Football (9/15)
St. Charles 6, #3 in AA Chatfield 55 (C: K. Schott 14-165, TD rushing; D. Williams 9-134, 2 TDs rushing; Parker Delaney 3 of 8, 50 yards, 2 TDs, INT passing, rushing TD; Carson Rowland 4-4, 32 yards, TD passing, 5-67, TD rushing; Ben Carrier 3-36, TD receiving; Devin Reinhardt 2-35, 2 TDs receiving. Chatfield’s defense was again stout, holding St. Charles to 63 yards on 21 carries and 136 yards total offense. Chatfield racked up 502 yards offense including 420 rushing)
Triton 7, #2 in AA Caledonia 54 (C: E. Stendel 9 of 12, 175 yards, 3 TDs, INT passing, TD run; Josh Beardmore 2-81, 2 TDs receiving; Isaac Blocker 1-yard TD reception; Owen Denstad two fumble recovery TDs (9 and 30 yards); Lewis Doyle 53-yard interception return TD; Fischer Wait 41-yard TD run; Ben Stemper 8-55 rushing; Tristan Meyer 3-44 receiving. Caledonia put up 35 first quarter points and tallied three defensive TDs in easily downing the snakes.)
