Fillmore County District Courts

On February 12, 2026, Shawn Gene Johnson, 32 of Harmony, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter.  Johnson is charged with Violate No Contact Order – Within Ten Years of the First of Two or More Convictions.  It is a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.  On or about February 6, a Preston Police officer was dispatched regarding a potential fraud in Preston. Johnson alleged his phone was hacked and money stolen.  He allegedly did so from the residence where Johnson is prohibited from going per a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order. Said DANCO order was issued in December 2025 and was effective on February 6, 2026.  Johnson has on multiple occasions been convicted of DANCO violations in the past 10 years, including of the felony variety.  

On February 17, 2026, Braedon Joseph Decker, 30, of Ostrander, appeared before District Court Judge Jeremy Clinefelter.  Decker is charged with three felonies; Stalking – Engages in Stalking, and two counts of Harassment – Aggravated Violations – Used Dangerous Weapon in Commission of Offense.  The Stalking offense carries a maximum criminal penalty of 10 years in prison and/or a $20,000 fine while each Harassment offense carry maximum criminal penalties of five years in prison and or $10,000 fines.  On or about February 13, a Fillmore County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to call Rochester Police regarding a welfare check on the defendant (a Fillmore County resident) who, while visiting Mayo Clinic intoxicated, allegedly made claims about harming another.  When met with, Decker initially denied making such comments.  A short while later, the victim called to report his mailbox allegedly had been shot up, and this was not the first time it was damaged or stolen.  The defendant’s ex-girlfriend alleged that it was Decker tampering with the victim’s mailbox.  After arresting Decker for stalking and harassment, he allegedly confessed to damaging and stealing the mailbox in the past, to having recently shot up the mailbox due to a personal grievance.
