On April 17, Paul Marshall Daigle appeared before District Court Judge Matthew J. Opat. Daigle, 40 of Spring Valley, is charged with Domestic Assault – By Strangulation, a felony with a maximum criminal penalty of three years in prison, a $5,000 fine, or both. On or about April 16, a Fillmore County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to a domestic disturbance. The defendant allegedly assaulted a household or family member (girlfriend) including by strangulation.
