Where We Left Off in 2023: FC/L went 0-15 in the TRC and 1-20 overall last year, but lost just 5-4 to 2-seed Houston in the 1A East quarters.
Seniors: Ellie Anderson (C/LF), Lelaina Irish (utility), Indy Qualy (3B), Lydia Penhollow (OF), Klaudia Biel (P/IF), Jersey Ristau (OF).
Juniors: Haley O’Connor (OF)
Key Returning Underclassmen: Jensyn Storhoff (So. SS/P), Hailey Erickson (So. 1B).
Outlook: Last year was a tough one for the Falcons. They posted just one win (over Spring Grove in their first year with a solo program in decades). Regan Hanson made All-TRC for FC/L last year, but she graduated. Jensyn Storhoff and Ellie Anderson return after making All-TRC HM. Klaudia Biel returns as the main pitcher. Storhoff also threw innings. Indy Qualy, Lelaina Irish, Haley O’Connor, Hailey Erickson, and Lydia Penhollow were also regulars a season ago. Falcon pitching and defense surrendered double-digit runs in 17 games last year. FC/L returns most of its team including five seniors, but numbers in the program are down and they were 1-20 a season ago.
