Dustin Nagel obituary, Fillmore County Journal

1983-2025

Dustin M. Nagel, age 42, of LeRoy, Minn., passed away unexpectedly at his home.

He was born in Spring Valley, Minn., on May 3, 1983, to Julie (Nagel) Ingersoll. When Dustin was older he moved to Missouri with his family, where he graduated high school. Later he moved with family to Alabama, where he met his wife and had four children, and later they separated. Dustin moved back to Minnesota to be close to family, approximately three years ago.

He enjoyed his son and three daughters immensely, loved fishing and hanging around with his friends and immediate family.

Dustin is survived by his mother Julie (Nagel) Ingersoll of LeRoy, Minn., brothers Brad (Brigette) Nagel of LeRoy, Minn., and Cory (Courtney) Ingersoll of Somerville, Ala., his four children: Jayda, Mallory, Conner and Anna of Cullman, Ala.; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, his best friends and “Partners in Crime” – Nathan “Na-Na” Keehl of LeRoy, Minn., Lisa Gomez of LeRoy, Minn., Memphis Gomez of LeRoy, Minn., and Robert “Rub” Lewison of LeRoy, Minn., (who Dustin called Old Man and Dad).

Dustin is preceeded in death by his maternal grandparents Fay and Fern Nagel and brother Storm Ingersoll.

In remembrance of Dustin, a celebration of life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Isle of Dreams, Spring Valley, Minn., (the former Root River Country Club) located on Hwy. 63 just east of Ostrander.
