Duane Severud, 55, died at home on January 18, 2023. He was born May 6, 1967, in Spring Valley, Minn., to Sandra Moger and Gerald Severud.
Duane had many jobs in his short life. He had a great love of the outdoors and animals. His three dogs were always at his side. He was always ready to help others.
Duane is survived by his mother Sandra Moger, sister Sheila Severud and many aunts and uncles.
He is preceeded in death by his father and both sets of grandparents.
Duane donated his body to the Mayo research program and requested no funeral. He can now fly with the eagles he loved.

Our sincere condolences to Duane’s family. Although we had our differences, I considered Duane to be a friend and felt those differences were due to his health. Duane had a good heart and was always a hard worker. I will miss Duane and his dogs. We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers. He is now at peace.
