Donna Mae (Jacobson) Gullickson

Fillmore County Journal- Donna Gullickson

Donna Mae Gullickson, 88, of Lanesboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at her home, with her daughters by her side.

Donna M. Jacobson was born November 11, 1931, in Lanesboro, to Selmer and Alvilde (Dahl) Jacobson.  She graduated from Lanesboro High School. On June 26, 1949, she married Arden Gullickson at Union Prairie Lutheran Church, in rural Lanesboro.  They went on to raise five daughters.

Donna was involved with the Whalan Lutheran Church, as a member on the Ladies Aids, and with the church circle.  After Arden passed away on December 8, 1996, Donna worked at the Visitor Center in Lanesboro, and volunteered at the city museums in Lanesboro, Peterson, and Whalan.

She is preceded in death by her parents Selmer and Alvilde, husband Arden, daughter Lynne, brother Orel, and two sisters, Elaine, and Muriel.

She is survived by her four daughters: Valerie (David) Grewe of Winona, Carol (Tom) Dybing of Lanesboro, Diane (Jim) Wehrs of Lakeville, and June (Dave) Heins of Kellogg; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, with one more on its way.

A committal service was held at Whalan Lutheran Cemetery, at 1 p.m., Monday, May 18, 2020, with Pastor Luther Mathsen.
