Delores “Dory” Marie Swenson was born in LeRoy, Minn., on July 18, 1953, to Henry and Helen (Wierson) Swenson. Dory graduated LeRoy High School in 1971. She attended the LeRoy Lutheran Church. Dory loved spending time with her daughter Melissa (Brandon) and granddaughters Mariana, Haley, and Natalie; and great-granddaughter Allie. Dory loved going to sports games, going to casinos with family, and visiting Aunt Norma.
Dory passed away on August 19, 2025, after a short battle with blood cancer.
Dory is survived by her daughter Melissa (Brandon), granddaughters Mariana, Haley and Natalie; great-granddaughter Allie, siblings Elly (Pete) Horsman, Dennis (Cheryl) Swenson, Diane (Randie) Olsen and Barb (Larry) Peters; many nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Dory is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Helen Swenson, and siblings Danny, Colleen, and Susan.
All are welcome to join the family for a celebration of life on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 4-7 p.m., at the LeRoy Community Center in LeRoy, Minn.
