David Warren obituary, Fillmore County Journal

David Warren, age 89, of Spring Valley, Minnesota, died of natural causes on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Spring Valley Care Center in Spring Valley.

David Everett Warren was born on October 30, 1936, in Spring Valley, Minnesota, to Roland and Marian (Wiseman) Warren. He grew up in Spring Valley and graduated high school in 1956. Once out of high school, he entered the Army from 1956-1962.

He married Patricia Howard on June 1, 1968. The couple lived in Spring Valley before moving to Racine where they raised their four children. In 1995, they made their home in rural Spring Valley. 

He was a longtime member of the Stewartville American Legion Post 164 and the Stewartville VFW Post 8980. David enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. 

David is survived by his wife Patricia (Howard) and four children: Mike (Cindy) of Racine, Minnesota, Jennifer (Larry) Lee, Jon (Sara), and Lisa Warren, all of Spring Valley; grandchildren Jessica and Kaylee Warren, Nicole, Brianna, Hunter (Dane Aria Canario), and Austin Lee, Joshua, Thomas, and Jacob Warren; sister Sarah Thompson, of Mooresville, North Carolina, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Anne; one sister, four brothers, one brother-in-law, and his parents-in-law Bernard and Ann Howard.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Faith United Methodist Church in Spring Valley, with Pastor Mark Woodward officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery.
