David R. Theiss

David R. Theiss passed away peacefully, at home with family surrounding him on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
David Roy Theiss was born to Roy and Helen (Winters) Theiss on November 7, 1946, in Spring Valley. Dave graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1964. He married the love of his life, Mary Danielson, on December 9, 1972, at St. Ignatius Church in Spring Valley. He retired from his career at Hormel Foods in 2010. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, Western movies, casino trips, country drives, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter Lisa (Clyde) Rollie of Wykoff; Lori Theiss and partner Dale Wilson of Rochester; his brothers Roger (Peggy) Winters of Spring Valley and Don Theiss of Spring Valley; grandchildren Samantha Rollie, Jordan Theiss, Tristan Rollie, and Ethan Rollie; and great grandchildren Lyla Koch and Rylin Tonsanger.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Helen Theiss.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at St. Ignatius Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Marreddy Pothireddy officiating.
