LARPH, LFC, GMLOS and Kingsland all took on the 5,000-meter Dover-Eyota Cross Country Invite. The defending multi-time state representative LARPH boys came away with their first team win of the season. They also had the individual champ. Matt Kingsbury’s guys (35) not only topped RAACHE (62) and Lake City (71), but seven of their runners finished top 20. The next best team was RAACHE with four in the top 20. LARPH senior Ryan Prinsen (17:06.3) claimed the individual title over Lake City’s Eric Anderson (17:20.9) and Tim Cooper (17:29.9). LARPH guys Isaac Rasmussen (17:36.4), Aaron Ploetz (17:38), and Brennan Kunst (17:39) took sixth, seventh, and eighth to give the squad four in the top 10. Tyler Betthauser (13th > 18:03.1), Treyton Heyland (18th > 18:36.4), and Hunter Rislov (19th > 18:36.5) rounded out their top 20 finishers. LFC was led by fifth place Issac Snyder (17:33.1), who was just a fraction behind RAACHE’s Matthew Van Camp (17:33). GMLOS’ Carter Glynn (17:56.9) and Erik Shaw (18:28.6) took 12th and 17th places. Teague Alden (29th) made the top 30 for GMLOS, which took fifth (123). LFC took sixth (138) of seven complete teams which also included Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau and Pine Island. Ninety-five total runners competed. Athletes encircled D-E’s elementary school. On the girls side, Pine Island (48) topped Lake City (53) for first. LFC (88) narrowly took fourth to RAACHE (86) with Kingsland (154), LARPH (172), and GMLOS (195) finishing sixth, seventh, and eighth (of eight). Lake City frosh Olivia Yotter (20:33) easily took first over G-E-T’s Adrianna Rotering (21:04.8). L/FC’s Lillyan Kiehne (21:14) took third for her second straight top five finish. Twin sisters Charity Kingsley (22:03.7) and Grace Kingsley (22:35.4) took seventh and 13th places to give LFC three in the top 15. Klaudia Biel also took 30th place. Kingsland’s Kylie Betts (11th > 22:27) and Kylie Myer (20th > 23:14) made the top 20. LARPH was led by Lauren Honken (16th place > 22:57.3) and Ellie Ekern (27th place > 24:03.5). GMLOS’ top finisher was Naomi Warmka (23:48.3) in 25th place. Eighty-six gal runners competed.
