Full-Strength Knights Post 3-0 Week A finally-at-full-strength Kingsland boys squad notched a 3-0 week. A non-SEC game versus Fillmore Central was a battle. Grove Girls Extend Winning Streak to Six The Spring Grove girls improved to 11-3 while extending their winning streak to six. Wrestling: All Five Area Squads Mix It Up The week in wrestling saw the five ‘Journal-covered’ squads mix it up. Caledonia/Houston hosted Chatfield and W-K for a triangular. Cal/SG/Hou 132.4250, PI/ZM 133.4000 (The Warriors received the highest varsity and junior varsity team scores under the current coaching staff. Cal/SG/Hou had three of the top four all-around gymnasts with Vivian Kittleson second, Harper Myrah third and Ayla Lange fourth. Cayden Lea scored 28 points as R-P’s #7 in Class A boys beat PEM 78-47. Cole Thompson scored 22 as R-P beat Kingsland 74-52 for their ninth win in a row. Max Erdman had 21 in defeat. LARP 31, Albert Lea 34 (In a tight dual with three lead changes and two ties, LARP led 15-6 after 127, but trailed 31-21 after 172.
