Gopher Softball Opens with Two Wins in Lake City

Chatfield softball opened its season by taking on the Lake City Tourney. Jerry Chase’s experienced Gophers picked up two wins in prep for a big TRC season-opener. The Gophers first beat Cannon Falls 4-1. Chatfield scored the first four runs of the game before surrendering a lone run in the seventh inning. Spring Grove Coach Named Assistant of the Year

Alan Lochner of Spring Grove was named a 2022 Assistant Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association. The veteran mentor was one of only 10 statewide to receive the honor and the only one coaching Class A.
