The guys battle pitted #3 Class AA Warriors versus the Class A #9 Trojans. Using their length, Brad King’s group was too much for a young R-P group. Lanesboro’s Elianna Cassman looks to pass the ball as South Winn’s Vanessa Bullerman defends in the teams’ non-conference affair. The Burros posted a 50-28 win to start the year 3-0. They ended their week falling to Southland in a nailbiter 49-48.

Larks Fight Past Neighbors, Knights and Rebels Grand Meadow girls basketball had a two-game week, playing familiar faces (from track and field) in squads from Southland and Kingsland. At home versus the Rebels, GM trailed just three times, but the last was at 41-39 with under 3:00 to play courtesy of a Juliette Matheis three-pointer (her one deep make of the game). But down … [Read more...]

December 9, 2024 by Paul Trende

Carson Rowland

Wrestling starts with several major rule changes. Firstly, takedowns will be worth three, not two points. Secondly, only one point of contact needs to be on the ground to be recorded as inbounds. Thirdly, there will be two, three, four and five near-fall points awarded (the latter for injured/bleeding defensive wrestlers after four near-falls). Another change relates to the … [Read more...]

In an early notable SEC match-up, Taylor Elton’s Lions redeemed said defeat versus the Larks.
