Caledonia Public Schools Holds Short Board Meeting in May

Mabel-Canton School Board Approves Sale of Bonds

The Mabel-Canton School Board held its regular meeting on May 20 at 6:00 p.m. in Room 50, Mrs. Peter’s science classroom. Board Chair Chris Miller opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. Area High School Senior Pursues Career in Musical Theatre

High school senior Greta Kunene has enjoyed a number of roles on stage so far, and is pursuing a career in musical theatre. Photos submitted

Greta Kunene’s initial reaction to acting was a negative one. The Missoula Children’s Theatre company was in southeastern Minnesota and was holding auditions for a show. When her mom Brenda Kunene asked if she wanted to audition, Greta said no. Thankfully, her mom made her do it anyway, and Greta found out that she loved it. Gophers Run Win Streak to Seven, Fall to Panthers Chatfield baseball started the year 1-8. In an excellent turnaround, Brian Baum’s Gophers have rallied with a big win streak.
