Football: Spring Grove Scores Late, Upends #2 Kingsland Kaaleem Reiland thundered 78 yards on Kingsland’s first play from scrimmage and then passed to Carter Strobel for the two-point conversion. Mabel-Canton (M-C) Volleyball Coach, Lonnie Morken, made history Thursday evening, September 25, reaching an astounding 885 career wins and 150 losses. After running a pair high-caliber cross country meets, LARPH’s boys got back a smaller, more local event. They got back to winning. Team Card-Tro-Cane was just one runner away from a perfect score at the St. Charles Meet. Only Stewartville’s Nolan Schatz (17:23.5), in third place, kept LARPH away from perfection. Volleyball: Larks Take Control of West, Post 6-0 Week Overall  Grand Meadow volleyball won two SEC matches on the week, sweeping their nearest SEC-West foe. Nine-Man #9 Mabel-Canton rolled up 461 yards on the ground and 570 yards total offense in beating Faribault B.A. 62-19. Pine Island Meet (Lake City’s girls (61) topped Goodhue (83). Kingsland took 8th (of 9). Tiger Olivia Yotter (13:25) won the 3,300-meter run over La Crescent/Hokah’s Hope Docan-Morgan (13:38.6).
