Full House at the Houston School Board Meeting

Girls Basketball: Warriors Top Trojans, #8 in AAA Byron Behind Klug’s Big Game Caledonia girls basketball notched two good wins on the week. Boys Basketball:Warriors Top Trojans and Hermantown, King Records 200th Win  Basketball boys powerhouses Rushford-Peterson and Caledonia went at it and their first of two series on the year. Carson Harstad scored 28 points as Chatfield beat W-K 65-55, and 36 points in a 77-67 loss to Lanesboro. Five Burros made double figures in said game, as Lanesboro won the second half 50-35. Lyric Stadtler scored 22 points as Spring Grove beat LeRoy-Ostrander 81-51. Cardinal Reid Hungerholt had 27 points in defeat. The Three Rivers Conference released its girls All-league soccer list. Caledonia/Spring Grove/Houston (0-9-1, 3-12-1) gets one pick, two-time selection, senior Loisah Gay. The striker/wing was also All-TRC as a sophomore before missing her entire junior season with injury. Gay scored seven of the Warriors’ 21 goals plus one assist. Cross Country: LARPH Boys Win First Class A State Title, LFC’s Rakosnik Takes 11th

There is no question.  Section 1A was the best at the State Class A boys meet at Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights.   The top two teams and top three individuals were from the section.  Heading the cast are the state champion team from Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson/Houston.
