Girls Basketball: Incredible Comeback, Fantastic Finish for SG/MC Spring Grove/Mabel-Canton rallied from a 15-point deficit and won by one point with a 3-point basket by Siri Konkel with two seconds to play. Byron 130.225, Caledonia/Spring Grove, Houston 123.8 (In the home opener, Harper Myrah placed first in floor exercise at 8.525 and finished third among 11 all-around athletes at 31.6. Boys Basketball: Cougars Post Three-Win Week Against opponents from far and wide, Mabel-Canton boys basketball posted a three-win week. Hosting the furthest opponent (to the north), Faribault B.A. on Monday, M-C trailed 40-39 in the second half before they had an 18-3 run to lead 57-43. The spurt keyed a 70-60 victory. Carson Harstad scored 28 points as Chatfield beat W-K 65-55, and 36 points in a 77-67 loss to Lanesboro. Five Burros made double figures in said game, as Lanesboro won the second half 50-35.
