Lanesboro boys basketball had a busy three days, as the Burros won home games Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Matt Asleson’s group beat Alden-Conger 65-30. Ten Burros scored as they hit 8 of 20 threes (40%). John Prestemon (18 pts, 9-14 FGs, 7 rebs, 4 asts, 6 stls) led the way. Reece Benson (14 pts, 5-5 FGs, 4-4 threes) had a perfect night shooting. Stephan Schultz chipped in 8 (pts) and 6 (rebs). Glenville-Emmons then fell 72-38. Prestemon (20 pts, 9-15 FGs, 7 rebs) again led the charge. Mason Howard (11 pts, 6 asts), Hayden Lawstuen (9 pts), and Schultz (8 pts) helped as 12 Burros scored. Lanesboro then notched a good win over LeRoy-Ostrander. The Burros led most of the way, including by 13 early in the second half (35-22). But a Layne Bird three gave L-O a 49-48 lead with around 4:00 left. Parker Storhoff followed with a tough lay-up. Lanesboro went back ahead 50-49. The Burros scored nine of the final 11 points to post a 57-51 win. They avenged a 71-69 overtime loss. Prestemon (21 pts, 6 rebs, 4 stls) led the way. Storhoff (9 pts) and Schultz (9 pts, 5 rebs) helped. Levi Royston (20 pts, 4-10 threes, 5 rebs, 4 asts) led L-O. He had 24 points in the first meeting. Tanner Olson (10 pts, 8 rebs), Chase Johnson (9 pts), and Gavin Sweeney (0 pts, 14 rebs) helped. Starters Olson, Johnson, and Bird fouled out. Olson entered the game having scored 58 his two previous contests. Lanesboro improved to 3-4, 7-5. L-O fell to 5-3, 9-4.
