In a Thursday night football game, Rushford-Peterson quarterback Malachi Bunke had his way with the Cotter Ramblers. The junior threw 13 total passes and nearly half went for TDs. Bunke went 13 of 23 for 314 yards, 6 TDs, and zero interceptions, as the Trojans cruised past Cotter 58-12. The Trojans’ QB used senior wide receiver Kobe Lind (6-116, 3 TDs receiving) and junior flanker Alex Ronnenberg (3-146, 2 TDs receiving) well, as each went over 100 yards receiving. Lind had TD grabs of 11, 30, and 25 yards. He scored twice in the first quarter. Ronnenberg’s scores were from 65 and 52 yards. His three catches went for 65, 52, and 29 yards. Justin Ruberg added an 8-yard TD reception. R-P’s first five scores came via TD pass. Tommy Ekern (3-yard TD run) and Titian Tekautz (1-yard TD run) added rushing scores. The Trojans ran for a modest 118 yards, with Lind (4-37 yards) and Bunke (10-34 yards) the leading rushers. Davin Thompson’s group is now 2-3.
