Bradford Pervin

April 19, 2018 by Fillmore County Journal

Mr. Bradford Frank Pervin, Broomfield, Colo., passed away April 7, 2018, at the age of 77. Brad was brought into this world by his parents Frank and Herietta Pervin on February 18, 1941, in Rochester, Minn.

Brad was the first offspring, followed by Robert, Pam, Sheila and Bruce. He grew up and attended high school in Wykoff, Minn. In 1960 he married his high school sweetheart, Karen LaVonne Eide and enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Brad and Karen had three children, Dawn LaVonne, Troyonne Frank (Robyn), and Ty Carl (Tearsa).

Brad will be fondly remembered by his six greandchildren: Kirsten, Ashleigh, Amy, Craig, Brenna, and Jaylee; and five great-grandchildren: Karma, Serenity, Myla, Greyson and Owen.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Henrietta Pervin, brother Robert, and granddaughter Ashley.

Brad joined the military in 1958, serving in the Navy for four years, the Air Force for four years, and completed one tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1966. During his career, his employer moved his family to many locations throughout the U.S. He spent his last 18 years with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kans., at St. Francis in Topeka, Kans.,  and St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colo.

Brad never met a stranger and was always shoring up the underdog. The passion he had for his grandchildren was endless with love and motivation. Brad’s life will always be cherished and remembered.
