Caledonia’s Reid Klug is in a tough defensive position overtop FC’s Greg Kennedy in the Warriors 103-70 win over the Falcons. Caledonia’s biggest moment of the week was Lewis Doyle’s game-winner in double overtime to top Onalaska 96-94.

Caledonia’s week featured a 100-point effort and a double OT game. The Warriors led Fillmore Central 57-40 at halftime and won 103-70! Mason King had 26 points (9-15 FGs, 4-8 threes, 4-5 FTs, 6 stls) to lead the way. Lewis Doyle (14 pts, 6-8 FGs, 4 asts), Will Hahn (14 pts, 6 rebs), and Reid Klug (11 pts, 6 rebs) also hit double figures. Ethan Stendel and Ben Stemper each went for 9 (pts) and 6 (rebs). Doyle played his first game since January 19. Luke Hellickson had a game-high 27 points (8-14 FGs, 6-10 threes, 5-5 FTs, 5 rebs) to lead FC. Jayce Kiehne (16 pts, 5 rebs, 5 asts) and Greg Kennedy (12 pts, 5-7 FGs, 5 rebs) helped. FC had 29 turnovers, Caledonia 18. FC fell to 4-7, 13-9. Caledonia then took on Onalaska in a Saturday game that featured 15 ties, 20 lead changes, and two overtimes! The Warriors led 79-76 and had the ball with 30 seconds left. But Hilltopper Ian Kowal hit a game-tying corner three (0:08). King then got a great three-point look and Stendel had a rebound put-back chance but the game went to overtime tied 79-79. Doyle scored all eight of the Warriors’ first overtime points. Onalaska’s Isaac Skemp hit a game-tying three with 7.5 left! Doyle missed a tough fade-away at the buzzer. The game went to double OT tied 87-87! Onalaska took a 94-91 lead on a Skemp three (2:21). Stendel then hit a game-tying corner three (0:53). Hilltopper Evan Anderson missed a good look in the lane (0:25). Doyle then hit a one-handed floater off glass (0:03.3), the game winner. The Warriors prevailed 96-94! Doyle (28 pts, 6 rebs, 6 asts), Stendel (18 pts, 14 rebs), and King (18 pts, all after intermission, 4-10 threes) had big games. Klug (14 pts) and B-Stemper (8 pts, 5 rebs) helped. Anderson (39 pts, 13-15 FTs, 6 rebs) and Skemp (24 pts, 5-13 threes, 12 rebs) led Onalaska, which leads the Mississippi Valley Conference (9-0, 15-6) and was ranked #10 in D-II. The #18 in AA Warriors (10-1, 17-4), back at full strength, trail LCH (11-0, 17-5) in the TRC-East.
