Boys Basketball: 24 Threes Drop in GM/Kingsland Match-Up

Kingsland guard Kaaleem Reiland looks to get to the rim versus Grand Meadow’s Isaac Harmening. The contest between the Knights and Larks was highlighted by threes. The teams combined for 24 of them. Reiland (six) joined with Jayden Brink (eight) to hit 14 of Kingsland’s 16 trifectas. GM hit eight threes. Team double-K posted an 80-61 win.

Kingsland and Grand Meadow boys played a SEC match-up that saw 24 combined three-pointers fall! Each squad had a player score 30 points. Knights Jayden Brink and Kaaleem Reiland combined to hit 14 trifectas. Brink scored 32 points (8-16 threes, 6-6 FTs). Reiland scored 21 points (6-12 threes). The duo had 14 of Kingsland’s 16 trifectas. Parker Johnson (14 pts, 6-11 FGs, 7 rebs) also hit double figures. Mason Kolling added 7 (pts) and 5 (rebs). On GM’s side, Jace Kraft scored 30 points (9-16 FGs, 11-14 FTs, 7 rebs, 4 asts), though on just one three. Alex Lopez scored 17 points (5-8 threes). The game was tied 29-29 at the half before Kingsland won the second half 51-32 to post an 80-61 win. All told, Kingsland hit 16 of 34 threes (47%) plus 10 of 12 free throws (83%). GM hit 8 of 21 threes (38%) in their pursuit of their first win. It was the Knights third straight win.
