Our beloved mother Bonnie Rae Blaser passed away peacefully at Saint Marys on October 21, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Bonnie was born on April 12, 1945, to Sydney and Minnie Dailey in Pilot Mound, Minnesota. She was one of 17 children.
She was a stay-at-home mom for several years before getting her nurse’s aide certificate and starting to work at Spring Valley Nursing Home as an aide. She also worked at the history center and the school. She married Noel E. Blaser Jr. in 1962. They were later divorced. She met her partner Donald Olsen in 1987, who she shared her life with until his passing.
She enjoyed socializing at physical therapy, garage sales, and arts and craft shows. She will be remembered especially for her famous banana bread, pumpkin rolls, cookies and pies.
She is survived by daughter Eileen (Bruce) Johnson, son Ron (Kelly) Blaser and daughter Kim (Jamie) Hitchcock; grandchildren Zach (Ashley), Emily (Luke), Nicole (Kyle), Nate (Cortny) and Breanna.
She is preceded in death by her partner, her parents and several siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley, Minnesota.
