Blake Coleman, 72, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2021. His wife Theresa, daughter Dawn, and daughter’s partner Sean, were all with him when he took his final breath.
Anyone who knew Blake, whether for only a moment or all of his 72 years will describe him first as kind. Blake never met a stranger and loved stopping to chat with neighbors and calling up old friends. Blake also loved reading, learning new skills, and visiting the beautiful parks across America. He spent the years before he met his wife Theresa, ranging cattle in Arizona, and his other favorite jobs included sea kayak instructor for REI and costumed interpreter for Forestville State Historic Site. His most appreciated work was that of dad to his daughter Dawn.
A memorial fund for Blake has been set up at the Lanesboro Public Library and donations can be made in person or through the mail: Friends of the Lanesboro Library, P.O. Box 330. Lanesboro, Minn. 55949.
