Billy C. Carman, age 59, of Grand Meadow, died Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Ostrander Care and Rehab.
Billy Charles Carman was born January 16, 1957 in Spring Valley, Minn., to Gerald and Marcia (Martens) Carman. He attended and graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1975. Following graduation, he attended college at River Falls and Stout University. After attending college, Bill worked for Crenlo in Rochester, Minnesota Implement in Grand Meadow, and then started working for Mayo Clinic in 1987. He was employed there for 24 years. After leaving Mayo he worked for CHS in Ostrander, Minn.
Bill enjoyed collecting and repairing Honda motorcycles, going to auctions, flea markets, and Gold Rush. He truly enjoyed collecting old western toys and raising his horses and dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carman of Grand Meadow; his children, Brandon of Minneapolis and Ben and BillieJo, both of Grand Meadow. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Marcia Carman of Grand Meadow; and his siblings: Carol (Craig) Stier, Mark (Kathy) Carman, Cathy (Dan) Koball, and Caren (Doug) Swanson, all of Grand Meadow. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother-in-law.
There will be a celebration of life from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow, Minn. Following the celebration of life there will be refreshments at Grand Meadow Community Center.
