Avery Freimark

December 3, 2018 by Fillmore County Journal

Fillmore County Journal, Avery Freimark obituary

Avery Freimark, 74, of rural Wykoff, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 27, at his home.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wykoff, with the Rev. Michael Harman officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Freimark was born May 17, 1944, in Rochester to Erhard and Frances Freimark. He grew up on the family farm near Wykoff, attending Wykoff Public Schools.

He worked with his father and brother Allerd for many years on the family farm. Together, they milked 60 Brown Swiss cows and raised sheep, hogs and crops on the family farms. Later, Avery and Allerd together purchased a nearby farm.

Mr. Freimark is survived by his sisters, Aleta (Ralph) Capelle of Spring Valley and Amber Freimark of Wykoff; niece Autumn (Brad) Hoag and their daughters, Kennedy and Cadence of Plymouth; and niece Amanda (Nils) Wahlander and their daughter Isla of New Hope, Minn.; as well as cousins. He is also survived by several dear friends and neighbors, including one special neighbor boy that meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his brother, aunts and uncles.

The family prefers memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wykoff. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Spring Valley is in charge of arrangements.
